January '96 Epigrams of the Day

If pleasures are greatest in anticipation, just remember that this is also true of troubles.

Mutual favors do not cancel each other.

If a man has faith in his power, he can wait.

Let Health and Wealth be incidental, and you'll have both.

Nerv. Pros. comes from letting the work chase you; when you chase the work you eat, sleep and laugh; and the man who can do these things is immune from everything.

Great organizers are men who are able to distinguish between initiative and "freshness." And quite frequently the difference is very slight.

Remorse is the form that failure takes when it has made a grab and got nothing.

If your religion does not change you, then you had better change your religion.
