When an Anarchist gets a job, buys a lot and begins to build a home, the "Cause" has lost him, and can never get him back for a boutonniere, or just for a ribbon to stick on his coat. When a Socialist starts a restaurant and begins to prosper, his Socialistic zeal begins to lukewarm and his comrades go into mourning for him as for one who is dead.

A woman may admire, respect, revere and obey, but she does not love until a passion seizes upon her that has in it the abandon of Niagra.

To work intelligently is education.

The measure of success is the measure of desire.

When you begin to thirst for knowledge, you drink it in. You need not go out for it or away. The ocean of it surrounds us as the atmosphere.

Find your joy in what you do, not in what you intend to do.
